Radon Education Programs
Air Chek strongly supports quality educational programs for its customers, whether
it be for individuals entering the radon field or seasoned professionals wanting to stay
current and renew their certifications through continuing education. This is why we have
made special arrangements for our clients to obtain quality educational programs from
the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CERTI) at a "preferred customer" discount.
If you are interested, follow this link to CERTI Training.

Radon Certification
In addition to taking inital radon courses, we encourage our inspection, testing, and mitigation
clients to obtain certification through the NEHA-National Radon Proficiency Program (NEHA-NRPP)
upon completion of the courses. To become certified, students must pass an examination for the desired certification
category. Air Chek will be hosting these (NEHA-NRPP) exams on the first or second Saturday of each month. To see the exam schedule
go to radon-pro.com, and click on "Training Programs".
To schedule an exam, please contact Shawn Price at shawn@radon.com.
Questions regarding NEHA-NRPP requirements should be directed to 1-800-269-4174 or visit their website, neha-nrpp.org.

New Radon Standards
The American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) has been working to
develop updated radon standards. The US EPA last updated their testing and mitigation
protocols in the early 1990s. AARST has used the EPA protocols as a starting point and is working
to refine and update the documents to reflect current industry practices. A new Multi-Family
testing protocol has been developed and is in place as an interim standard. Two additional
standards (Homes Protocol and the ASD Mitigation Protocol) are in the public review stage
and are soon to be released as final standards. If you want more information or would like
to get involved, visit the AARST website at www.aarst.org. |

dial the direct extension of the person you need to reach. To speak with Nancy dial extension
